Toys from Home

Dear First Grade Parent(s),

Please check your child's backpack each evening and/or morning for toys and games from home.  I am requesting that first grade students do not bring toys/games or other items from home to school.  I am finding myself being the "Toy Monitor" during indoor recess.  Please know that our classroom houses many games and items to play with during indoor recess and it is not necessary for your child to bring items from home.  I have also had students pack up at the end of the day and they do not have room in their backpack for their school items (reading book, library book, folder, reading bag, etc) due to the toys that are in their backpack.  I appreciate your cooperation.
